The academy for career consulting and the 3nd career education program for female students were held Nov. 11 to 12 and 18 to 19. Postechians could map out their career, and female professors mentored female students as well.

Many lectures about careers were held. Emanuel Pastreich, a professor of Kyunghee University, and Sung-kee Chung, the third president of POSTECH, had a lecture on the topic of ‘Life is a matter of direction, not speed’ and ‘Vision and leadership’ respectively on Nov. 11. The next day, Jin Pyou-cho, the CEO of Wise mentor, taught how to shape the future plans. Nov. 18, Jung Hee-sun, a director of National Institute of Scientific Investigation, let female students know how to overcome social convention of gender.

Ryu Eun-a (Life, Ph.d candidate) who participated in these programs said, “These programs are really helpful because I have troubles in my career. Actually I look forward to meeting Jung Hee-sun director. Through this opportunity, I meet her. As I think these programs are useful and helpful, I will pay attention to.”
