Academic Affairs had open briefings on the finalized curriculum reformation plan in PIRL Auditorium. The plan begins with the Class of 2011, which has already started. Due to the scattered schedules of the freshmen, Academic Affairs had two briefings at different times.

The motivation for the briefings was from the opposition to the previous reformation plan of March 2011 that was argued to have placed too much burden on students. Consequently, many students in the briefings expected the reduction of credits. Instead, there was not much change in the finalized curriculum.

The total credit required for Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) is reduced from 20 to 14 and HASS electives rose from 12 to 15. In total, there were only 3 credits reduced from 32 to 29.

Under the new curriculum, for graduation students need to fulfill the required credits of Science & Technology Core (STC) and Activity Based Curriculum (ABC). STC is a newly arranged block of credits in which students take five courses from other majors. In this finalization, the course list of each major to be included in STC was decided.
