A Contest of Creative and Delicious Dishes

A contest of dishes to relieve hangovers, called ‘I Am a Chef’, was held in front of the Jigok Community Center on May 12, from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. This event was planned as part of the festival for Postechians, many of whom often suffer from the overdrinking of alcohol.

Eight teams participated in this contest, with each team making special and creative dishes from very different recipes. For Postechians, The Postech Times will reveal the recipe of the winner of this contest, the Soft Tofu Jjigae of the School of Cooks.

First, boil water with tuna in a pot. Second, fry kimchi and put it into the pot. Third, add soft tofu and various seafoods, like crab and abalone. Fourth, put in seasonings to suit your taste.

First, second and third winners received 70,000, 50,000, 30,000 KRW, respectively.  Leo Preis (CS), a panelist in this contest from France, said, “This was such an interesting experience. The food was so delicious and the participants ardently made their dishes. These dishes were so different from the cafeteria food.”
