The 7th POSTECH President’s Cup English Skit Contest was held by the POSTECH Language Education Center on May. 13 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. in the PIRL Auditorium. There were three participating teams, DICE, Freshmen, and Dislocation, and a total of 13 people. Each team showed their skit for 20 minutes on stage to the audience.

The first prize was given to the team Dislocation, consisting of graduate students from the Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology (GIFT), who  participated in this contest last year and won. This time, the members prepared a sequel to follow last year’s skit. They acted out a situation in which a foreign graduate student with no manners endeavors to make a girlfriend with a magic drink which makes him look attractive, although it turns out to be fake.

The skit received great evaluations by the jury panel for the members’ outstanding command of language and plot composition. The winners received 500,000 KRW and a coupon allowing them to take two language lectures for free. DICE won the second prize with 400,000 KRW and the coupon and Freshmen team placed third with 300,000 KRW won and the coupon.
