President Sunggi Baik was selected as the recipient of this year’s Honorable Korean Alumnus of Cornell University Award. 

Not only for performing influential research in the field of ceramic materials, President Baik has also contributed enormously to the advancement of POSTECH, including achievements such as POSTECH reaching the 28th place in the world according to the THE (Times Higher Education) rankings, the first time for a Korean university. 

In 2007, the Cornell Club of Korea established the Award in commemoration of the first visit by Dr. David Skorton, president of Cornell University. The winners of the award are selected under strict final screening by Cornell University.
