Professor Kwang S. Kim, selected as a “Top Scientist 2010”, donated his entire 300-million-won cash prize to POSTECH to provide special meals to students. On Nov. 3, POSTECH students enjoyed steak dinners for only 2,200 won. Respecting Prof. Kim’s wish, POSTECH has designated Nov. 3 as the Kim Wook Special Meal Day in honor of Prof. Kim’s father, Kim Wook, and to provide a special meal annually.

At the dinner event, more than 1500 students came to Freedom Cafeteria in the Jigok Community Center, exceeding the planned accommodation; some students had to queue up for more than 30 minutes for dinner.

“A sound mind in a sound body,” quoted Prof. Kim. “I hope that these special meals could help to refresh students.”
