On Oct.1, the members of POSTECH assembled at the Central Square in front of the Auditorium for a reception to celebrate the victory in the 9th KAIST-POTECH Science War. (The naming tradition places the name of the away team first.)

With the victory from the 9th Science War, POSTECH achieved three consecutive victories, and received the permanent ownership of the championship flag. The ceremony consisted of greetings from President Baik, appreciation to the sports team coaches and a performance of Cheero to recall the passion at the time of Scinece War.

The Central Square was crowded with over 200 students and faculty members altogether chatting and eating barbecued pork at the rectangular tables all around.

Yo Hwan Park (10, Life Science), a member of Cheero, said about the reception, “I was impressed when President Baik shouted the name of ‘POSTECH’ on the stage in celebration. It seemed like all Postechians were united together.”
