Specialized science and engineering schools POSTECH, UNIST, and KAIST had a friendly athletic meet at UNIST campus on May 1. The event, called Uni-Stadium United, consisted of friendly matches of soccer and basketball represented by the athletic clubs from the respective schools. Hosted by the student body of UNIST, Uni-Stadium United was held for the first time this year to promote friendship and interactions among the three similar schools.

Kaiser from POSTECH, Hurricane from KAIST, and Earth Cops from UNIST competed against each other in soccer; Pobba from POSTECH, Doolly from KAIST, and Unis from UNIST played against each other in basketball. The friendly matches started at 1:00 with an opening address followed by three matches in each sporting event.

Pobba defeated both Doolly and Unis and came back victorious with a trophy and prize money. Kaiser, however, lost both games. Aside from the main event, rookies played against each other. After the matches were over, the students from three schools gathered to have time to promote friendship.

About the friendly athletic meet, Peter Chang, a Pobba rookie answered that he “felt like schools got closer. There were common shared love for the sports and interest in the area of study.” Chang added, “There were no unsportsman-like conducts. No harsh feelings.” He also thinks that this event should be held yearly to test skills build friendship among three tech schools.
