Doctoral degree student Eun Yoo Yoon of the department of Material Science and Engineering won the Shinhan Diamond Best Paper Award at the spring conference of the Korean Powder Metallurgy Institute (KPMI) held at Andong National University.

Ms. Yoon presented the paper on ‘Consolidation and mechanical behavior of Mg alloy powders using high pressure torsion’ and drew attention by reporting the effectiveness of consolidation of magnesium alloy powder in high pressure torsion process by experiment and simulation.

The event was held as a part of the spring conference of the Korean Powder Metallurgy Institute which was intended for all graduate students in the country majoring in that area. The best paper award sponsored by Shinhan Diamond was given to two graduate students including Ms. Yoon.
