Sumi Jo, world renowned as a soprano and winner of Grammy Awards, will hold a concert ‘Dream with Me’ at the Pohang Arts Center on Dec. 4. As part of her Korea concert tour, she will appear with world-class baritone Junghak Seo and the experienced Mostly Philharmonic Orchestra.

Graduating from Seoul National University with the highest grades in its history, she stole the spotlight nationwide. After studying abroad in Europe, she won various world concourses and debuted as an opera singer. Making her a world star, Herbert von Karajan, one of the most renowned orchestra and opera conductors in music history, described hers as a ‘God-given voice’ and ‘the voice of the century’. She won the Grammy Award of Opera Recordings in 1993, the Puccini Award in 2008, and appeared on the stage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics as one of the world’s top three sopranos.
