Three Postechians as ‘Forbes 30 Under 30’ this year

Forbes, an American business magazine, selects 30 people under the age of 30 from 10 different fields from 23 counties in Asia-Pacific region annually. The fields include art, healthcare, finances and venture investment, media and marketing, business of technique, consumer technology, et al. On April 2, Forbes announced this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia that included three Postechians in the healthcare field. The three Postechians are Keum Do-hee, Yoon Gwan-ho, and Lee Da-sol.
Keum Do-hee (MSE Ph.d.), is a POSTECH MSE alumni, invented smart contact lenses that can diagnose the diabetes with the help of Prof. Han Sei-kwang. The smart contact lenses utilize micro-LEDs and photodetectors to monitor glucose levels in the blink of an eye and it can deliver drug during diagnosis at the same time. Ph.d. Keum has founded a healthcare company, Bubbler.
Yoon Gwan-ho (ME integrated course) and Lee Da-sol (ME Doctorate course) developed a metasurface device that provide high-resolution optical control that can lead to an improvement in 3D hologram display, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality devices.
After having five Postechians in the 2018 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia last year, POSTECH has once again come into the spotlight with the three alumni and students in 2019 list.
